Have you been feeling unwell, but just can’t put your finger on it?  Let me help you connect the dots so we can see the big picture on what is going on with your health.  In my practice, I see a lot of individuals who are struggling to get to the root of their health troubles.  Whether you are suffering from a serious ailment, or you are just wanting to live a healthier and more energized life, I will provide you with an individualist, evidence-based program that suits your unique needs.  As a general practitioner, I see people of all ages and for many conditions, including fatigue, stress, digestive issues, allergies, hormone imbalance, thyroid issues, mood disorders, and diabetes.

As an athlete myself, I also have a love of working with athletes and fitness enthusiasts. I am no stranger to hard training and have a special focus in improving athletic performance and healing from injuries.  Being a varsity swimmer at Dalhousie University provided me with a deep respect for the strength of the human body, but also how much support one needs to thrive under intense training.  I grew up in Prince Edward Island riding (and falling off of) horses – so I understand how our body’s injuries need more than a cast and a sling. You can now find me hiking and running through our beautiful BC backyard!

I service patients with acupuncture, in depth nutritional plans (including nutritional supplementation), and mental/emotional support through their healing journey.  Having volunteered in community gardens and an organic farm during my youth, I believe that our healing starts with what is on our plates and what grows in our gardens.  Above all, I have come to learn as a doctor and through my personal experience, that the most important aspect to healing is working with a team of practitioners that understand your experience and who can provide what is needed for your body and mind to restore it back to its original state (or at least close to it!).  It is important to have support and to receive care from those who know how to guide you so you can reach your goals and thrive.

I am passionate about educating my patients and want to provide a deeper understanding of the whys and hows of our health to those who seek it.  I love to teach and I currently hold a faculty position at Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) – Boucher campus.  I also coach the swim team at the Burnaby Mountain Secondary Highschool, and I deeply enjoy providing them with encouragement and ways to improve their skills, just as I do as a doctor with my patients.

I am a licensed naturopathic physician, registered and in good standing with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC.

My educational credentials includes:

  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) from Dalhousie University – double major in Biology and Earth Sciences
  • Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine.

I look forward to meeting with you and getting started on helping you feel your healthiest self!
